Mamta Banerjee who’s the Chief Minister of west Bengal have launched this scheme, to provide gadgets to the students of the state. Because we all know that there was a time when students could not able to get proper classes, because they do not have mobile or other gadget to take online classes, and it is obvious that online education is as similar as offline classes, so that’s why the government have taken this step and launched this scheme. as per the reports the government have now decided to provide maximum 9.6 lakh tablets to all the eligible registered students.

The main aim of this scheme is to make digitalised education awareness, because there are so many students who cannot afford that much money to buy laptops, mobile and other gadgets to take online classes, so the government have launched this scheme. under this scheme the government have set the target to provide more than 9 lakhs tablets to all the students of the state.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scheme
- Interested applicants should be the permanent residence of west Bengal state.
- Registered applicants should be in the final year of their high school.
- Applicant must have enrolled in any government school, or aided school or in madarsah.
- The annual income of the family of the applicant should not be more than 2 lakhs.
