PM Awas Yojana List 2023-24

PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) is a flagship program of the Government of India that was established in 2015 with the goal of providing affordable homes for everybody by 2022. The program’s goal is to give a pucca home with basic facilities to all qualified beneficiaries, including economically disadvantaged individuals, low-income individuals, and middle-income individuals. To meet the housing needs of both urban and rural communities, the PMAY plan has been divided into two components: PMAY Urban and PMAY Gramin. As we start the fiscal year 2022-23, the government has released the PMAY List 2022-23, which comprises the names of those who have been approved for a dwelling under the plan.

PMAY List 2022-23

The list is published on the PMAY official website and includes the beneficiary’s name, father’s name, home ID, and other pertinent information. The publication of the PMAY List 2022-23 is a key milestone in the government’s efforts to provide housing for everyone, and it represents a step towards meeting the aim of affordable housing for all by 2022.

  • PMAY strives to offer affordable housing to everybody, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds (EWS), low-income groups (LIG), and middle-income groups (MIG). Recipients on the PMAY list can utilise the scheme’s benefits to purchase or build a property at a low cost.
  • PMAY-G is a PMAY sub-scheme aimed at providing houses to the rural poor. Recipients on the PMAY List 2022-23 can use PMAY-G to build a dwelling in rural regions.
  • PMAY strives to empower women by enabling them to buy a home in their own name. If a woman is the sole or co-owner of a home, she is entitled for an extra interest rate subsidy of up to 0.15% under the plan.
  • Beneficiaries on the PMAY List 2022-23 may be eligible for tax breaks under Sections 80C and 24 of the Income Tax Act, which may lower their tax obligation.
  • Through promoting affordable housing, PMAY hopes to create jobs in the construction and related industries. The initiative is projected to generate a considerable number of employment in these industries, contributing to economic growth.
